Course Overview

ISO 50001 provides a useful model for business improvement in the food industry, based on the process approach, with the management of the food safety risk at its core. ISO 50001, Energy  management systems – Requirements for any organization in the food chain, can be applied to organizations ranging from feed producers, primary producers through food manufacturers, transport and storage operators and subcontractors to retail and food service outlets – together with interrelated organizations such as producers of equipment, packaging material, cleaning agents, additives and ingredients.

This course is designed to enable participants to understand, establish, implement and maintain Energy management systems based on ISO 50001:2018.

Target groups

Personnel directly involved in and/or responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of Energy management systems, for example, the Energy management systems team leader, members of management, personnel involved in auditing the food safety management systems and those wanting to become certified to the system.

Course duration

The course duration is 3-5 days that includes class room presentations, practical group exercises, , role plays and examination.
